Problem
People who want to learn financial markets need a way to practice without real-money risk, using live data in a motivating experience. Scattered information sources and passive content do not create repeatable learning.
Approach and solution
I connected live market data to a virtual portfolio flow so users can trade at real prices and see outcomes immediately. Gamification and leaderboards turn learning into repeatable practice. SwiftUI powers the mobile experience; Go, Supabase, and PostgreSQL handle data and transactions on the backend.
Live market data
Gold, crypto, and market data stream in real time. Users follow price movement on charts and base virtual trading decisions on that data.
Virtual portfolio and trading
Virtual capital supports a buy-sell flow that feels close to a real broker experience without financial risk. Confirmation steps and balance visibility keep decisions clear.
Technical architecture
The mobile client is built with SwiftUI. Go-based services handle market data and user transactions; Supabase and PostgreSQL manage identity, portfolio, and gamification data.
