Problem
Event ticketing breaks under peak demand: seat conflicts, slow checkout, and complex venue layouts. Organizers needed one place to manage events, categories, and inventory — while customers needed to pick seats on a visual map.
Approach and solution
I built customer-facing event discovery with an interactive venue map, backed by real-time reservation and payment orchestration. Seat blocks are selectable on the map; category, price, and availability update instantly. A CMS and operations panel keeps organizer workflows in one flow.
Interactive venue map
Customers see stage-front and stand blocks on a map with category, price, and available seats in one view. Block selection keeps the map and side panel in sync.

Technical architecture
The customer experience runs on Next.js; APIs are split across NestJS and Go services. Redis powers real-time holds; Kafka handles event flow under peak load. PostgreSQL stores events, seat inventory, and orders.

Results
- Real-time reservation flow without seat conflicts.
- Interactive venue map simplified category-based sales.
- CMS and payment layers unified organizer operations on one platform.
